Austin Child Guidance Center’s Season of Giving

This holiday season, Austin Child Guidance Center (ACGC) invites you to join us in making a real difference in the lives of Austin families. ACGC is deeply committed to the mental health and well-being of children and families in our community, providing critical services that nurture emotional and social growth.

While the holidays are often a time for celebration, they can also bring added stress and challenges, especially for families facing mental health struggles. With your help we can bring joy and relief to families who need it most, ensuring they have access to crucial resources and financial support. Join us in raising awareness and support for children’s mental health this holiday season.

Join Our Season of Giving: How You Can Make a Difference

The holiday season can be financially challenging, making it difficult for families to fully enjoy this special time. Community support during this season not only helps fund essential mental health services at ACGC but also provides assistance to families, allowing them to create joyful holiday memories with their children.

Mark your calendar for ACGC’s upcoming holiday community events to give back to our kids and families in Austin and the greater Central Texas area, including our Giving Tuesday Thank-A-Thon and our annual holiday toy drive and celebration, Dolls4Dolls. Your support at these events will directly impact our kids and families.

Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Our Thank-a-Thon

On Giving Tuesday, we’re hosting a Thank-a-Thon telethon event as a way to express our appreciation for the generous supporters who enable ACGC to provide mental health services to Austin families. Scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd at the Center’s conference room, the Thank-a-Thon will bring together volunteers, staff, and supporters in a unique opportunity to celebrate the power of giving. Drop by at any time between 10 AM to 2 PM for an hour or just ten minutes to help staff make phone calls and share thanks with the ACGC community.

For those interested in volunteering, this event is a wonderful way to get involved and strengthen the sense of community during the holiday season. A script and additional support will be provided by staff.

Giving Tuesday is a world-wide giving event encourages individuals to take a break from the holiday shopping and sales to give back to causes close to your heart. If you are interested in amplifying your impact with ACGC, consider becoming a peer to peer fundraiser! Dolls4Dolls: Annual Toy Drive and Holiday Donations for Local Austin Families

Join us for our Dolls4Dolls Toy Drive, ACGC and AllDolledUpATX's annual toy drive  and holiday celebration with the Austin community on December 8th, 3-5 PM. Taking place at the Center, Families can enjoy fun, family-friendly celebrations and activiites including taking pictures with Santa, making ornaments, and more! There will also a silent-auction and vendors like Kendra Scott to help you pick out a perfect holiday gift.

We also encourage attendees to bring toys and donations to give back to ACGC kids and families who may be struggling at this time. All proceeds & donations go directly to Austin Child Guidance Center's clients & families. Great gender-neutral ideas that would benefit many of our families:

  • Winter hats, gloves, scarves, and socks
  • STEM Toys
  • Earbuds
  • Blankets
  • Gift cards (Amazon, Walmart, HEB, Target, VISA)
  • Water bottles
  • Arts and craft supplies
  • Journal and pens

Help us bring joy to children by contributing toys or making a donation, ensuring that every child has a memorable holiday season.
